Alfred LaFave joined Watt in 2004. He has over 8 years of real estate development and planning experience in both the public and private sectors. As Director of Forward Planning of the Southern California Division of Watt Communities, he is responsible for the entitlement and permitting process for all projects. He collaborates closely with the President, Executive Vice President and the heads of construction, engineering and marketing. Prior to being named Director of Forward Planning, he was a Senior Project Manager and managed numerous residential projects ranging in size from single family detached to townhomes, condominiums and podiums. He saw many projects through from acquisition to completion.
Before joining Watt, Alfred worked as a Planning Consultant for Gruen Architecture and Planning. He managed preparation of Environmental Impact Reports, Specific Plans, Design Guidelines and zone code changes. He also managed environmental analyses for Myra Frank & Associates, one of the most experienced and well respected environmental consulting firms in the Los Angeles Region.
A Utah native, Alfred graduated with honors from the University Of Utah School Of Architecture. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning with an emphasis in Community Development and Housing from UCLA.
